I’ve been lucky enough to shoot for this beautiful family for years now. When their son Oliver was about 6 months old we did a lifestyle shoot at their lovely home. I love seeing other peoples homes (I do real estate photos and love to see the creativity when it comes to the decor – it fascinates me and makes me happy!). Ali + Tyler’s home didn’t disappoint, beautifully decorated and so unique to Ali’s style. When they invited me back to do a lifestyle newborn shoot for little Scarlett, I was thrilled. Oliver’s nursery was fun and so beautiful, I couldn’t wait for what Scarlett’s nursery would hold. And oh my goodness, it brought me joy instantly when I walked into her room. “Ali,” I said, “you need to become an interior decorator!!!!” . “That’s actually what the plan is!”. Ali will go back to school soon just for that. She is so talented and I would hire her in a minute to decorate every single room in my house if I didn’t love doing it myself so much. Maybe one day! Baby Scarlett’s room is adorned with llama’s and desert cactuses. She thought of every detail and no corner is unfurnished with cuteness. Including the crib that contains their gorgeous, new baby girl, Scarlett. She is a calm, laid back little mama. According to Ali and her insta stories, Oliver is the exact opposite of his baby sister and only a year a a few months older that her. Ali is one of my favorite people to follow on instagram because she posts real life, which is also pretty dang funny! At least she has Veda, their older daughter to help out Mom + Dad. While I was there, I witnessed Oliver asking for Veda constantly. She is such a good big sister already to Oliver and was so excited to find out that she would get a sister when Scarlett was born. She was so gentle and sweet with her new baby, a lesson Oliver was just starting to learn a day or two before our session. I did get to witness him holding Scarlett for just the second time ever, which was pretty great! I am sure they will all be best buddies soon enough!
